Doing the Jay Oh Bee. Taking a beating so the Superstar looks great. That’s what I call personal projects, or spec work. Only I’m the Jobber and the Superstar, all sweating into the same gaming chair.

The Don’t Play Boxing card series was a result of me applying for a job at a sports memorabilia company. Realizing I had no direct experience with this type of design, I quickly outlined a project for myself. As a life-long boxing fan, it seemed a natural direction to tackle the neglected area of boxing trading cards.
